Perth Groundwater Recharge Pipeline

As part of Perth’s Groundwater Replenishment Scheme expansion, Qenos Alkadyne HCR193B was specified by Water Corporation as the pipe material used for the two horizontal directionally drilled sections of the 13 km groundwater recharge pipeline. The pipeline is set to help further reduce the city’s reliance on climate dependant water sources.

Sunshine Coast Sewerage Upgrade

In March 2018, 5.7 km of new pressurized HDPE PE100 sewer pipeline was installed for Unitywater on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The project features Australia’s longest horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation of a DN900 pipe, powered by Qenos’ Alkadyne HDF145B (discontinued grade).

Yeppoon Causeway Lake Underbore

The first PE100 HSCR pipe installed in Australia by horizontal directional drilling enabled a water main capacity increase to support future growth of the communities in the Livingstone Shire QLD.

Hunter River Crossing

Alkadyne HDF145B (discontinued grade) enabled the installation of one of Australia’s largest PE100 pipes by horizontal directional drilling to deliver safe drinking water to the Hunter Valley NSW

Yamba Sewerage Augmentation

Alkadyne® HDF193B was used to construct a 1.6 km ebb-tide release pipeline in Yamba NSW to increase its sewerage treatment plant capacity and cater for the large population influxes during holiday periods in this picturesque township.

Yallourn Power Station

In June 2012, the Morwell River surged and a levee collapsed allowing the river to flow into the open cut coal mine which supplies the Yallourn power station. In just over 2-months a 1600 mm pipeline constructed from Alkadyne HDF145B (discontinued grade) was able to divert the flow of the entire river, allowing dewatering of the mine and resuming operation of the Yallourn power station.
